Marche history and tradition

Oleificio Sassetti has an agricultural history rooted in the 1800s, when the Sassetti family began its activity working the fields as sharecroppers.

The family’s olive oil tradition began in 1897, when they started cultivating olive trees, an activity handed down from generation to generation that still represents the essence of the mill today.

Located in Monte San Pietrangeli, Oleificio Sassetti is a point of reference for the production of olive oil, internationally recognised for its excellence.

Innovation and modern techniques

Mariano Sassetti, son of the founder, planted the first 50 olive trees, anticipating agricultural practices compared to conventional methods. Over time, the mill has successfully combined tradition with innovation, adopting modern techniques that ensure an olive oil of the highest quality.

Oleificio Sassetti continues to focus on quality, bringing forward the olive harvest and optimising the milling process to guarantee the excellence of the final product.

Passion and dedication in every drop

In 2023, Oleificio Sassetti was included among the top 500 companies in the world in the Flos Olei guide, which rewards global olive oil excellence. This recognition reflects the mill’s constant commitment to offering a product of excellence, through careful olive selection and state-of-the-art milling techniques.

Under the guidance of Roberto Sassetti, the company has faced important challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, adapting quickly through online sales and expanding its presence in international markets.

The company’s goal is to convey the dedication and love behind every drop of extra virgin olive oil, continuing to represent one of Italy’s excellences in the sector.
