Made from a blend of Sangiovese and other typical local red grapes, Morellone is the result of meticulous craftsmanship reflecting the passion and history of the Vagnoni family. In the glass, Morellone presents a deep, impenetrable ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex and fascinating bouquet with notes of black cherries and sour cherries in spirit, humus, wet earth, and mushrooms. Vinification involves skin maceration that varies from 6 to 9 days in steel, followed by aging in barriques for 20-24 months and an additional 12 months of rest in new steel. Finally, the wine completes its journey with at least 3 months of bottle aging.
