From farm-grown barley to craft beer

Birrificio Jester was founded in 2013 in Petritoli, in Le Marche, from Erri Morlacca’s desire to bring two family farms back to life after more than 20 years of abandonment. This agricultural brewery stands out for its short supply chain, using organic raw materials grown on its own land.

Erri later began craft brewing, using barley cultivated in his own fields, then malted and transformed into beers with a unique character. Each recipe is created from a combination of local ingredients such as ancient grains, pomegranate, green anise and honey, in a perfect balance between tradition and experimentation.

Sustainability, innovation and integrated agricultural production

In addition to beer, Birrificio Jester grows pink apples from the Monti Sibillini, a Slow Food Presidium, used to produce cider and vinegar. The beers are inspired by Belgian and American styles, with a range of around twenty references, all made with self-produced organic malt.

Erri Morlacca trained at CERB, the Centre of Excellence for Beer Research, and created a brewing system capable of producing up to 10 hectolitres per cycle. Today, Birrificio Agricolo Jester is a business that combines sustainability and innovation, offering the excellence of a short agricultural and brewing supply chain.
